This is my favorite Juneteenth/Black American Pride shirt and hopefully, it will become yours too!
My Great Great Great Great Grandmother was a slave in Texas up until 1865 and
she, along with the 5 children she had by her white slave master, were directly impacted by the purposeful delay in the news that they were free that is at the heart of why we celebrate Juneteenth. It has become my favorite and most meaningful holiday in memory and solidarity with her, and all my ancestors. I wear this shirt proudly knowing that we aren't were we're gonna be, but we damn sure aren't were we were! We are descendants of the survivors of the most brutal chattel slavery the world has ever seen and still we rise and THRIVE!
